Project Objectives
i. Enhancing mutton production and productivity through the import of proliferative mutton breeds
ii. Identification of elite germplasm and establishment of seed stock production centers for important breeds.
iii. Genetic improvement/gain by rapid propagation and multiplication through assisted reproductive techniques (AI/IVEP/ETT)
iv. Nutritional strategies and feed processing technologies to augment sheep/goat production.
v. Developing healthcare strategies, vaccination, preparedness, and facilities for disaster management.
vi. Capacity building, Human Resource and entrepreneurship development through training, consultancy and I.C.T. Support.
