The One-Day Awareness-cum-Training Programme on Promotion of Niche Crops (Saffron) in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir was aimed at strengthening the knowledge, capacity, and adoption of scientific saffron production technologies among farmers, rural youth, and other stakeholders. Recognizing saffron (Crocus sativus L.) as one of the most valuable and globally acclaimed crops of Kashmir, the programme focuses on enhancing productivity, quality, and profitability of saffron cultivation through modern agronomic and post-harvest interventions.
